Praise Report
Here is a prayer praise report from the conference:
While praying Thursday during the service, Natalie sensed a train coming and it narrowed down to a window where she said she could not make out the face, but that she knew the person. She shared this during our group time after the service. We realized that this was during the time Jacob was traveling across India, taking 2 trains then a mini bus. The team began to pray for him. As we were praying Kristen sensed something wrong, given the impression of "wrong way." We prayed for safety and that God would intervene and correct whatever was wrong and get them to their destination the "right way." It was at the end of this that Katie cried out "tears of joy" and there was a strong presence of God among the group.
Friday night we were able to connect with Jacob on Skype, as he had made it to the village, Dharm Sala, in the Himalayas. We told him what happened during prayer and he said," You may have saved our lives." He reported that the second train ride went well, however they decided to hire a driver to take them to the village. About an hour later, a tire blew out. It delayed them several hours, as they had to find a place with the right tire. They were on the road again - in the mountains and the brakes locked up. He said it was frightening and they finally stopped about 3 feet from going over a cliff. The struts broke and there was further damage the front end of the vehicle. The driver left them stranded along the side of the cliff and return later with a mechanic. They knew he could not fix the vehicle. Meanwhile a TAXI just happened to be coming through. They flagged it down and were able to take it the rest of the trip - SAFELY.
Was was meant for disaster was turned around!

It was a tremendous time of ministry. We all enjoyed the teaching of Becky Fischer and Kid's in Ministry International and making new friends in the Korean community of Vernnon Hills, IL.
